After a small pause during which the new wood floor coatings dried, the first set of granite countertops has arrived. The Emerald Pearl countertops with sink were installed today. The island slab is due to arrive tomorrow. The island has been prepared with extra base and reinforcing bars for support, as the design has no visible support for the island counter. The new window is in and after many years of being inoperable, it will be nice to get some airflow in the kitchen with a working window. There is still alot of detail work, like the glass tile backsplash, lights, appliances, and door hardware still to be done, but it’s getting close. Enjoy the pix …
