There is always a reward to following a BMW add banner, or even just browsing through their site. BMW always has great multimedia ads and the one posted for the new upcoming X6 and X6 M-models is no surprise. Not sure how the media site looks on slower computers, but someone had grand fun creating them. Stacked with a 4.4 litre twin turbo, and 555 hp, this is no sheep strolling park-n-shop. But will have to see when it comes out, until then, jump and enjoy.
First there was yellow, and now orange appears. A trickle of new photos displaying the different colors in the wild of the Lotus Evora. For both the orange and the yellow, I’m not yet sure whether they are likable colors. The solar yellow is more definitive, due to the fact that there is only one color of yellow (even though the isotope looks very yellow, it is a green supposidly). Unfortunately it wasn’t listed which shade of orange. Most likely the names of the orange color line will get mangled for in the wild postings. Check out the spew from Autojunk.nl , although mind you it’s not in english.
Most often seen are the promo pictures of the silver Lotus Evora. Then came the snaps at the track of the blue Lotus Evora, then more pictures of the canyon red and black Lotus Evora from the the first drive reviews. Where is the solar yellow Evora and other colors? Some hints were seen when the manufacturing photos became available and various glimpses were seen of parts on the construction line. Now finally pictures are starting to show up on places like photobucket, and we can finally get a look see at some more colors.
Great review of the Lotus Evora, with plenty of scenes from the car actually in action on the track. Still disappointing to hear the the interior is lacking, but seems to be overshadowed by the drive itself. I’m not exactly sure how relevent this is when you aren’t actually on the track, but nice to hear none the less.
Definitely amazes me that the photographer doesn’t seem shaken at all, although maybe after watching it on replay (or 10 min later) I’m sure it dawned on him. Definitely a beer story at the local pub… No embeded viewing, so you’ll have to watch it after the jump … Rally Car on YouTube
Not exactly sure of what I think of this car yet. I bow to the porsche heritage, but view the panamera more towards the styling of the new BMW turismo lines. Like the Cayenne, I don’t doubt that I will grow to like it. On the flip side, I’m comparing the panamera to the Lotus Evora, and definitely think the porsche wins all around. I have a particular preference for the Evora’s nose styling, but am not a big fan of the Evora’s interrior and general fit and finish. Various mechanics such as the dual-clutch manual in the panamera are pushing it past the Evora as the top pick, which has considerably less technology for the money. It will be hard to put a final vote until both cars are actually released in the States.
Interesting review; ie. it’s not as nice as a porsche but they didn’t have a lot of money to do it, or drives nice, looks cheap, but that’s cause there was no budget?
And why are the reviews done is that awful blue color… Yet still, a nice looking car and sounds great. Will be determined in the states by how much it actually sells for.
Although not exactly a new review, it would be a bit remiss not to have this posted as it’s a great review. Also displays some of the available car colors.
New Lotus Evora review from Stuart Birch @ Telegraph
Overall good review, with some complaints about the interior, which adds to the list of ‘almost but not quite’ type of notations by alot of reviewers. There doesn’t seem to
be much variance on review sections pertaining to drive and handling compared to other articles, which is good.
