As cooking shows go, this is on the amateur side, but is still nice to see a demo of some sort. Haupia is a very simple desert, but IMHO is easily made into chalky or blech blocks of goo if made wrong from scratch. Although I’ve always seen Haupia in blocks or simple geometric shapes, it also would be nice if someone would show something creative done presentation-wise. Then again it’s not really necessary cause Haupis never lasts long enough to look at, as it’s eaten almost instantly.
And let it be known that as healthy as this country tries to get, that there are still people striving to kill us all, and leave us only with a smile on our face (and some bacon bits on the corner of our happy mouths). Pepper and Spice has taken upon themselves not only to tease us with the possibility of eating such a delight, but actually telling us how to doom ourselves.
