Talking Lion Phone on The Good Wife found

Written by hoisumguo on April 6th, 2011

Tonight’s episode of the The Good Wife “Wrongful Termination” had a cute bit around one of the characters talking on a speakerphone featuring a small plush lion toy which moved it’s mouth as the character on the speakerphone talked. This had to be the absolutely funniest bit of the week but completely misplaced product-wise is it is very difficult to find the actual toy. But it has been found!

The toy is actually a small iPod toy which dances and moves it mouth to music. Also available but not featured are a bear, panda, and frog toys. Price is a bit steep for most, but for some it will be a must have.

Great find! I was just looking for that clip but no one posted it yet. Thanks!

OMG thanks so much! When I saw this on the show I was immediately taken by the cuteness of it.

Yes, I was rather taken aback by how expensive this was and think my jaw dropped a little when I saw how much shipping and handling were. I will definitely pass on this one until I see some reviews about how it holds up over time. I’d be furious if it broke after just a few days!

Does it plug into a speakerphone like it did on the show? That’s what was hilarioius…

  5. Pooh says:

I think it depends on your phone. Not all phones or speakerphones have a headphone jack.

  6. Helena Hirschel says:

Smartphones do. I wonder if it would work…?

Loved it… Mines is on it’s way.
    Found it in Australia at

I did some searching, and it came out to 6200 yen, which is around 75 dollars. That is quite a bit cheaper than from the manufacturers website, as it was coming out to nearly 120 dollars (Illinois State Tax of 10.25%) It was going for about ten dollars cheaper on another website, but they are sold out of every model.

Per one of the other posters, it doesn’t connect via an ipod outlet, but rather through a 3.5mm audio outlet i.e. the same type that you would plug computer speakers in with etc.

daniel, I just got mine from them and was shocked that there’s no instructions. Can anyone tell me how to get this to work??

I ordered mine from MV Tools in Australia. It came without instructions and completely unwrapped with no box. Is that normal. Did anyone get instructions or a box/wrapping? Thank you.

Excellent. I randomly googled and found your entry! Gonna try to get my hands on one…

I bought the Lion speaker through eBay and it was much cheaper and came quickly from Hong Kong. Now I find that if I plug it into the headset jack on my Panasonic phone, it prevents the phone itself to act as a speakerphone and I end up with sound from the Lion, but no way to speak to the person.

Has anyone found a phone that this would work with?
